The official account of the Algerian Civil Protection on Twitter published a short clip of a member of the rescue teams operating in Turkey, who managed to rescue a young child from under the rubble of a collapsed building.

Video footage shows a rescuer from the Algerian Civil Protection embracing and kissing the child, before being asked to hand him over to his anxious father to check on him.

Algeria has sent rescue teams and aid to Turkey and Syria.

In the latest outcome published by the official account of the Algerian Civil Protection, the intervention of the Algerian rescue units led to the rescue of 11 people from under the rubble in Turkey, and the recovery of 26 dead people.

A number of Arab countries announced the establishment of air bridges and the provision of urgent relief and medical aid to support Turkey, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Libya, Tunisia, Palestine and Iraq, according to official statements.

The earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria the day before yesterday, Monday, left more than 11,000 dead, in a preliminary toll, in addition to thousands of injured.
