According to RIA Novosti, Biden noted that before he became president, there was talk about how China is increasing its power in the world, and America is losing it.
This is not the case now, Biden said.
“Today we are in the strongest position in decades to compete with China or anyone else in the world,” he stressed.
Biden also said that Washington is ready to work with Beijing, but will not leave an encroachment on sovereignty unanswered.
In January, the US House of Representatives created a special committee on strategic competition with China.
