The approximately one-meter-large mat should be placed on a balcony to the left of the pulpit.
The Mariamaljan should be in place in time for Maria's Annunciation in March, and Anna Maria Marsfjell is in the middle of working on it.
- It is a completely different format and material than what I am otherwise used to, says Anna Maria Marsfjell, who is standing with the hammer in hand.
She is based at Stiftelsen Galtije's premises in Östersund.
It's the first time she's done something big for the church.
- I will be proud to be able to show it off when it is ready, she says and shows off the coat that still has a protective plastic over it.
- It will shine like only that one, she smiles.
