It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“We call for the lifting of the blockade and economic sanctions imposed against Syria in order to eliminate the consequences of the devastating earthquake,” said the head of the organization, Khaled Hbubati.

He noted that Syria needs heavy equipment, ambulances and fire brigades to speed up search and rescue efforts.

“To do this, it is necessary to lift sanctions on Syria as soon as possible,” he stressed.

The Syrian Ministry of Health said that the number of victims of the earthquake had risen to 812, with 1,449 injured.

There is also evidence that a search and rescue operation has ended in the Syrian province of Hama.
