The news of the notification was first reported by ÖP.

The employees who are being notified are in Hammerdal, Strömsund and Östersund and it concerns both factory and office staff.

The factory in Hammerdal will be shut down and the production of concrete frames will be concentrated in Strömsund.

- When the volumes shrink, there will be a limit when overhead costs become too great to be able to run both factories, says CEO Mattias Marktin to ÖP.

Attacus frame system works with the development, manufacture and assembly of building elements for concrete and wooden house frames for the Swedish construction market.

“Unfortunate and boring”

The company has sent out a press release on Tuesday in which they describe that the order intake during a period "declined dangerously".

You write further:

"The declining market is unfortunate because it threatens a large number of jobs in Jämtland.

It is also sad considering the fantastic effort that the employees in the concrete factories have made in the past six months, where both productivity and deliveries have increased significantly."

Attacus announces that it hopes to strengthen order intake during the spring and that the notices may then be lifted.

Negotiations with the relevant union negotiations will begin shortly.

Analyzes more businesses

At the same time, the company announces that the market for wooden frames is also affected by the decline in the market.

Analyzes are underway for how this may affect Attacus' operations in Östersund as well as the wooden house factories in Hammerdal and Fågelfors in Småland.

Information on how the company will handle this will be communicated later this week.
