It is specified that as a result of air and artillery strikes, units of the 66th mechanized, 25th airborne, 95th airborne assault and 81st airborne brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the LPR, DPR and Serebryansky forestry were defeated.
“More than 100 military personnel, three armored combat vehicles and two vehicles were destroyed,” the ministry added.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during a conference call said that the troops were successfully developing military operations in the areas of Vugledar and Artyomovsk in the Donetsk People's Republic.
At the same time, he added that during the Christmas ceasefire announced by Moscow, Ukraine fired over 550 artillery and mortar attacks.
