This was announced by the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Moscow, Janita Liyanage.

“Sri Lanka is open for investment, we are discussing investment in Sri Lanka with many Russian businessmen, including representatives of the construction business,” RIA Novosti quotes her.

She added that Sri Lanka invites Russian companies to open their branches on the island.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Levan Dzhagaryan said that Russia plans to help the country's authorities in the construction of two low-power nuclear power plants (LNPPs).
