We also held telephone conversations with 18 heads of state and government," TASS quoted him as saying.
Erdogan expressed his gratitude to everyone who contacted Ankara to offer help and express words of support.
“The support of the international community is valuable for Turkey not so much for the aid it provides, but for its moral effect,” the Turkish leader said.
The World Health Organization estimates that the earthquake in Turkey and Syria affected 23 million people, including 1.4 million children.
Earlier, the IFRC announced more than 1.5 thousand deaths in Syria as a result of the earthquake.
The SAR Red Cross called for the removal of sanctions from Damascus to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake.
