Defense Ministry: the earthquake did not affect the combat readiness of the Russian Khmeimim base in Syria

“The earthquake that occurred on February 6 in the northwestern part of Syria did not affect the combat readiness of the Russian Khmeimim air base and other military facilities of the Russian group of troops stationed in the Syrian Arab Republic,” the report says.

It is specified that there is no destruction or damage at Russian military facilities.

According to the latest data, the number of victims of the earthquake in Syria has risen to 237, 639 people were injured.

Many buildings collapsed as a result of the earthquake in parts of the city of Aleppo in northern Syria.
