The duel was arranged in connection with "Gosskör under the vaults" - an event where four boys' choirs from cathedrals in Sweden meet (Lund, Västerås, Stockholm and Uppsala).

The boys' choirs performed later in the evening, but during the duel they had to sit among the benches and listen along with the rest of the audience.

- For unaccustomed listeners, it can be a bit long with just the organ playing.

Then we wanted to heat it up a bit and make a fun thing out of it, says Torsten Cederholm who, together with Albin Cato, was assigned to comment on the organist duel.

It was an away game for both duelists: Gregory Lloyd, organist in Stockholm's cathedral congregation, and Robert Bennesh organist in Lund's cathedral.

- It's the first time I get to sit at the instruments here in Uppsala Cathedral, and it's fun, says Robert Bennesh.
