The public reconciliation of José María Aznar and Mariano Rajoy has given the PP a shot of euphoria.

When he looks in the mirror, Alberto Núñez Feijóo already sees himself as the third step in the dynastic line, as he is about to sneak into that pantheon.

Before the 4,000 people who have packed the side wing of

the Valencia Science Museum

this Sunday , the president of the

popular

has declared himself and has claimed "an absolutely indisputable majority."

Above all, "a sufficient majority not to depend on partners."

At that point, he has taken the opportunity to harass Pedro Sánchez for his agreements, imitating him like this: "It is that they do not let me govern."

So, he has emulated the "go away, Mr. González" by José María Aznar.

"Well, if his partners don't let him govern, go away and let's convene again!" Feijóo exclaimed.

Asked at the exit about this paraphrasing, Aznar assured, smiling: "You see what things happen over the years...".

Feijóo has also picked up another glove from Aznar, who on Saturday assured that "the change consists of the attractive

Spain

capable of calling everyone".

In the same sense, the PP candidate for the general elections has assured: "I propose to bring our country together to overcome the policy of blocks, territorial separation and the abysmal gap that exists between reality and the current Government."

At the end of the act, barons and officials of the PP have underlined the importance of the photograph that the two former presidents and Feijóo took yesterday, after eleven years in which they had not starred in any political act of the party together.

"It is the most important Image for the party and it means a clear rise" ahead of the May 28 elections, pointed out one of the five regional presidents of the PP.

"The closing ranks of Rajoy and Aznar around Feijóo sends a very powerful and winning message," added another leader.

The president of the PP himself wanted to display this milestone in his speech: "We have a national project that preserves unity from diversity."

And he has recognized that euphoria is beginning to spread: "I am sure that Spain is going to have a better government, and I do not like to talk for the sake of talking."

The barons have seen him "euphoric" on the day after the public reconciliation of the former presidents.

"I am going to win, and if I do not succeed, I do not deserve to be president of the party," Feijóo has maintained.

"I'm sure we can win, because I've never seen our opponents so nervous."

"On both sides they are doing quite strange things," he said, in a reference that has been interpreted as a criticism of Vox's motion of no confidence, which wants to present the economist Ramón Tamames as a candidate.

"The majority travels through the center," he has countered.

In Feijóo's opinion, the Prime Minister talks a lot about him because "his nervousness prevents him" from talking more about Spain and less about the opposition.

"While Sánchez and his family have lost the pulse of society, today we are going to leave here plugged in with that commitment to Spain," he rallied.

The leader of the PP has accused Sánchez of trying to "frighten Spain because the PP is going to govern."

But he believes that "nobody" can sustain that anymore.

"People notice it", he has implied himself.

"That is why some can only put on shows and petanque matches with socialist militants."

Next, he has claimed "close politics" and has charged against the effects of the Law of

only yes is yes

.

"It's not about winning to win, but about winning to do things, to change what doesn't work and improve what works. Today we are committed to the changes; not to the change, to the changes", in the plural.

The first, "to govern for everyone without exception," Feijóo explained.

"I will continue to prevent the advance of the independence movement, as I did in

Galicia

," he promised.

"Spain will once again be respected, not humiliated" abroad and "I will not use public services to carry out politics", he continued.
