Garcia, seeded N.1 of the event of which she is an ambassador, was expeditious against the 73rd in the world, aged 21, beaten in 1 hour 11 minutes.

She was able to rely on the quality of her commitment with 81.1% of points won on her first serve for 67.3% of successful first serves (7 aces).

"For me, it's a dream to be in the final here and to be able to share this joy with the Lyon public. I hope to go until the end of the week", she reacted as she left the court.

"It was a great game against a confident young player since the start of the year. I managed to step up this week and put on a solid game today," she added.
