The performance was led by the drag queen Björta, actually Björn Törnblom, who read fairy tales to the children, who had to interact in several ways during the story time.

They had to count to 20 to music together with Björta, stand up and make movements with their arms and at the end of the performance everyone, children and adults, got glitter on their hands and made a wish.

- I think that when children see that there are different ways to express themselves as an adult, they understand that it's okay, it's okay to be different.

But it is also about focusing on the fact that we are all human and that we all share something.

Drag show as an art form is about creating an imaginative fairytale world and that is something that everyone understands, says founder and director Petter Wallenberg.

Created debate

But story hours with drag queens have created a debate, with the recent Drag story hour stirring up strong emotions.

Petter Wallenberg says that "Among dragons and drag queens", which started in 2017, has escaped criticism for the most part.

- It happens from time to time that some people don't understand drag shows and that some adults speculate about it.

But they have never been to our story times.

The small percentage who wonder or are angry about drag shows drown in all the love of everyone who loves the love this spreads, he says.

In the clip, you hear drag queen Björta about the show, as well as the founder and some visitors.
