Turkish Airlines announced the cancellation of 238 domestic and foreign flights due to expected weather conditions in Istanbul.

The company warned travelers on Friday that flights to and from Istanbul Airport may be canceled on Sunday, February 5, due to expected bad weather.

And the company stated in a statement today, Saturday, that 238 flights to and from Istanbul Airport were canceled on the fifth and sixth of February due to the expected snowfall.

According to a statement by Turkish Airlines, 72 domestic flights and 166 foreign flights have been canceled, indicating the possibility of canceling more flights.

The governor of Istanbul had warned citizens of the expected snowfall in Istanbul during the next two days.
