Hungarian Energy Ministry: Budapest against the expansion of EU energy sanctions against Russia

“The Hungarian government strongly opposes any further expansion of energy sanctions,” the TASS agency said in a statement.

The Ministry of Energy called the EU sanctions policy a failure and added that the restrictions had an impact on European consumers, who were faced with rising prices.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Hungary intends to veto possible European Union sanctions against Russian nuclear energy enterprises.
