It was in the middle of November last year, after several fatal shootings in Södertälje, that the police found the weapon in a taxi stopped in Blombacka.
Now a 19-year-old is being sentenced, who according to the police has connections to the criminal "Network Botkyrka".
He has previously been punished for, among other things, rape of children and arbitrary behavior.
Sentenced to prison
The prosecutor requested that the man be sentenced for serious weapons offense because the weapon was of a "particularly dangerous nature" and that he was under the influence of drugs at the time of arrest.
But as the weapon lacked a magazine, the district court now sentences him to prison for 1.5 years for weapons offenses and minor drug offences.
