When someone unauthorized is on the railway track, the train driver reports it to the Swedish Transport Administration.

Sometimes this results in the trains being stopped on a stretch, in order for the tracks to be checked.

It's not just that people bother walking over the railway that causes it.

In Storlien, for example, it is the snowmobiles that are the problem.

- There are a lot of snowmobiles there and the railway goes straight through the village, says Kjell-Arne Blom at the Swedish Transport Administration.

The Swedish Transport Administration is now planning measures to reduce the risks.

The train drivers have peer support

For the train drivers, unauthorized people on the tracks are a big problem.

Henrik Persson is both a train driver and peer supporter.

This means that he supports drivers who have been involved in an event where people have been on the tracks.

He himself has been involved in many incidents

- I have seen people in wheelchairs get past lowered barriers, he says.

In the clip below, you will hear more about how to react as a train driver.
