The Foreign Ministry called the statement about Russia's lack of will to negotiate on Ukraine untrue

Zakharova's comment was published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

She noted that Russia has repeatedly repeated at various levels about its openness to negotiations regarding the settlement of the situation in Ukraine without preliminary and unacceptable conditions.

Zakharova recalled that it was Kyiv, on orders from outside, that left the negotiations with Moscow. 

Also, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the EU is investing not in the settlement, but in prolonging the conflict in Ukraine.

First Deputy Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said that the longer Western countries delay the start of the negotiation process with Russia on the Ukrainian conflict, the worse the outcome for Ukraine will be.
