China News Agency, Jakarta, February 3 (Reporter Lin Yongchuan) The Ministry of Health of Indonesia notified on the 3rd that the latest serological sampling survey results showed that 99% of the country's population has produced new crown antibodies.

  Liza Munira, head of the Health Development Policy Department of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, introduced at a press conference held in Jakarta on the same day that in January this year, with the participation of epidemiologists from the School of Public Health of the University of Indonesia, 34 provinces across the country, 99 Serum sampling surveys were conducted on 16,286 people in 2 counties (cities), and the results showed that 99% of the surveyed population had produced new crown antibodies.

  Indonesia confirmed its first case of COVID-19 infection on March 2, 2020.

Previously, the country conducted two serum sampling surveys in December 2021 and July 2022. The results showed that the proportion of the population with antibodies to the new crown was 88% and 98%, respectively.

  Munila said that the results of the third serum sampling survey this time showed that those with the highest levels of new crown antibodies were those who had received a booster shot of the vaccine.

  On December 30, 2022, the Indonesian government canceled all epidemic prevention and control measures except that masks must still be worn indoors and in public transportation, and is accelerating the promotion of new crown vaccine booster vaccinations.

  According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, as of the 2nd, the country has confirmed 6,730,537 cases of new coronavirus infection, including 160,822 deaths.
