A Palestinian was killed this evening, Friday, after the Israeli occupation army opened fire on him near the Hawara checkpoint, south of Nablus. Meanwhile, the occupation forces stormed the city of Jericho in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) quoted the Palestinian Red Crescent as saying that a young man, "whose identity has not been known yet," died of his critical wounds, as a result of the occupation's bullets.

For its part, Israeli media said that the Israeli army shot a young man who tried to "steal a weapon from a soldier" at a checkpoint at the entrance to Nablus.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces stormed the city of Jericho, which has imposed a military siege on it for 7 days. Wafa said that the Israeli army fired a barrage of stun grenades and tear gas at citizens' vehicles, before stationing near the entrance to Aqabat Jaber camp, south of the city.

It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities continue their siege on the city of Jericho for the seventh day in a row, through military checkpoints and cement blocks that they erected last Saturday at the main and secondary entrances to the city.

3 Palestinians were wounded

In a related context, today, Friday, 3 Palestinians were injured and dozens suffocated, in clashes with the Israeli army in the West Bank.

Local and medical sources reported that the occupation army used metal bullets and tear gas to disperse weekly marches in separate locations in the occupied West Bank.

Dozens of Palestinians suffocated as the Israeli occupation forces suppressed the weekly anti-settlement march in Beit Dajan, east of Nablus.

The village of Beit Dajan has witnessed weekly marches since 2020, rejecting the establishment of a settlement outpost in the northeastern region of the village lands.

According to data from the Israeli human rights movement "Peace Now", there are about 666,000 settlers, 145 settlements, and 140 random outposts (unlicensed by the occupation government) in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
