Amidst ongoing debate in the Diet over measures to address the declining birthrate, the chairman of the Diet's countermeasures committee of the opposition party held a meeting and agreed to request the government to abolish income restrictions on child allowances.

The Constitutional Democratic Party, Japan Restoration Party, Communist Party, National Democratic Party, Reiwa Shinsengumi, etc., met in the Diet on the afternoon of the 2nd and exchanged opinions on future Diet responses.

In this meeting, we agreed to request the government to abolish the income limit set for child allowances, in light of the fact that the ruling and opposition parties are calling for it to be abolished.

In addition, in order to secure financial resources for the increase in defense spending that the government is planning to submit, Prime Minister Kishida said that sufficient deliberation is necessary for the bill to create a "defense enhancement fund". I also confirmed the policy of asking questions.

After the meeting, Azumi, chairman of the Diet countermeasures committee of the Constitutional Democratic Party, said, "The abolition of income restrictions on child allowances has become a matter of debate. I'd like to hear the thoughts of the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito, but if we come this far, the government will decide to abolish it. I want you to do it, and I want to push for its realization."
