The survey also shows that more than 8 out of 10 breweries state that increasing inflation and unpredictable electricity bills will have significant negative effects on their business in 2023. Johan Ek runs a microbrewery outside Stallarholmen, and if it wants to be bad, he says, it can be tough to continue operating in the way they do today.

- We have never had large margins in this industry, they have always been very low.

If we get even smaller margins now, it will be next to impossible to live on it, he says.

The situation in their business is currently under control, but it can change very quickly, says Johan Ek, especially when their fixed electricity contract expires in June.

- It is not a crisis right now, but we are preparing for a crisis.

We are reducing the staff's working hours to reduce salary costs and things like that, he says.
