The ex-minister and his current wife, Emelie Johansson, 38, have been a couple for about a year.

Shortly after the relationship became known to the public, Emelie Johansson, whose last name was then Karlsson, was reported to the police.

She is suspected of data breaches at the Security Police, which is also her workplace.

It concerns an illegal search in a protected register that occurred in 2018. Emelie Johansson searched her former partner, who also worked at Säpo.

She has admitted that she did the search, but the parties disagree about the reason.

She says tells the GP that the search was made at the request of the ex-partner.

According to the newspaper, he could be considered her superior at the time.

However, that information is contradicted by the ex-partner who says that she acted on her own initiative.

As a consequence of the relationship, Morgan Johansson has also been linked to the incident and on far-right sites and social media there has been speculation about his possible involvement.

- It is implied that I would have had something to do with this, that as Minister of Justice I would have acted to delay the investigation.

These are lies that cannot be allowed to go unchallenged, says Morgan Johansson to GP.

The case against Emelie Johansson will be decided in the Solna district court after the summer.

SVT Nyheter has sought out Morgan Johansson, who declines further interviews.
