You don't have to be stricter with them than with others.
Hardly anyone lives consistently.
Of course, it is clear that moral preachers of all kinds have to reckon with particular malice if they of all people do not live up to their publicly displayed claims “in private”.
The scandal is different
But whether someone swims or flies to Thailand, whether he plants an apple tree there or otherwise enjoys himself - the new scandal of the "Last Generation" is different: Why do all public sympathizers, all those who invite criminals and court them like elected representatives of the people, always acting as a matter of course as if the very last generation was really concerned with the climate?
High long-term goals, which one does not accept from others without being asked, have simply been assumed here.
But the fact that they could be savvy professionals of self-presentation, hedonism and the pursuit of profit was not considered.
Nothing will change now.
Because the alleged heroism of the climate stickers distracts from their own phlegmatic or not so correct behavior.
Criminals simply remain criminals, no matter what long-term goal they have and no matter how they otherwise behave privately.
