The Clermont-Ferrand prosecutor's office has announced that it has taken the decision to dismiss a rape complaint against a professor practicing at the city's university hospital center (CHU).

A caregiver had claimed in September 2021 that the 62-year-old doctor had attacked her in April 2019. Dominique Puechaille, public prosecutor, considered that the facts were insufficiently characterized, indicates

An investigation was launched and ended several months ago.

The sexagenarian, head of the infectious and tropical diseases department of the hospital, has always denied the facts.

He had been suspended as a precaution by the management of the establishment.

His lawyer, however, filed an appeal with the Council of State against this eviction.

The nurse's aide had been released after a defamation lawsuit following a complaint by the teacher.

During the hearing, she reiterated her accusations.

The sexagenarian has also previously been sentenced to six months in prison suspended for the sexual harassment of a secretary.

He appealed against this judgment.
