Mao Ning: China has always believed that defense and security cooperation between countries should be conducive to regional peace and stability, and should not target or harm the interests of third parties.

Out of self-interest, the U.S. continues to strengthen its military deployment in the region with a zero-sum mentality. This is exacerbating tension in the region and endangering regional peace and stability. Countries in the region should remain vigilant against this and avoid being coerced by the U.S.
