3 dead and 32 injured in a fire in an Egyptian hospital

Three people were killed and 32 others were injured in a fire that broke out today, Wednesday, at Al-Noor Charitable Hospital in the Mataria area of ​​​​Cairo Governorate, Egypt, according to what two security sources and a third medical source revealed to Reuters.

The two security sources said that the fire ignited inside the hospital located at the top of Al-Mohammadi Mosque came as a result of an electrical short circuit in a heater in the hospital, and added that the Public Prosecution and Criminal Investigations will inspect the site of the fire.

In a statement on the social networking site "Facebook", the Ministry of Health and Population announced that it had dispatched 12 ambulances to the site of the fire in order to transfer the injured to nearby hospitals to receive the necessary health care. The ministry said that the injuries ranged from burns, fractures and suffocation.
