Earlier, the chairman of the NATO military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, said in an interview with the Portuguese edition of RTP that the alliance was ready for a direct confrontation with Russia.
“It is clear that Russia remains the key adversary in the issue of global leadership for the West and, first of all, for the United States,” RIA Novosti quotes Pushilin’s response to Bauer’s words.
He also stressed that Washington intends to act through its allies in Europe.
In addition, Pushilin said that the North Atlantic Alliance has already entered into a direct confrontation with Russia.
He noted that the presence of the military of the North Atlantic Alliance near the Russian borders was recorded long before the start of a special military operation.
Pushilin said that arms supplies to Ukraine, rearmament and training of alliance forces, as well as the deployment of new combat groups in southeastern Europe and the Baltics are visible.
