The recent wave of violence in Stockholm is linked to the fight over the drug market in Sundsvall.

One of those arrested in Sundsvall last week is a 20-year-old man.

He is now in custody for, among other things, preparation for public destruction, preparation for murder, aggravated weapons offense and aggravated drug offence.

The 20-year-old has previously been sentenced to prison for, among other things, drug offenses and has also been convicted of unlawful threats.

Arrested together with Söderhamn residents

In September 2021, the police stopped a suspicious car in the residential area Nacksta in Sundsvall.

In addition to the 20-year-old, there were three men of the same age and a thirteen-year-old boy in the car.

All residents of Söderhamn.

The 20-year-old tried to flee the scene but was quickly arrested by the police.

When he was searched, the police found more than ten thousand kroner in Norwegian and Swedish banknotes.

He said he didn't know the others in the car and they didn't want to know him either.

In the thirteen-year-old's bag, the police found almost a kilo of cannabis and 25 grams of cocaine.

Acquitted by the Court of Appeal

The thirteen-year-old was not charged because of his age.

The 20-year-old was sentenced by the Sundsvall district court to eight months in prison for drug offences.

The Söderhamn residents were sentenced to prison for between one and three months.

The judges were appealed by the 20-year-old and two of the Söderhamn residents.

When the case was taken up in the Court of Appeal, they were completely acquitted of the drug offence.

The 20-year-old also got the money back.

Narcotics to Hudiksvall

At the beginning of April last year, the 20-year-old was stopped on the E4 near Hudiksvall.

In the car, the police found 189 grams of cannabis resin and 288 grams of amphetamine.

According to the prosecutor, the drug was to be transported to a person in Hudiksvall.

Two weeks later he was charged with drug offences.

Two addresses in the county

According to the police, the man is staying in Sundsvall, but legal documents show that he gives an address in Bollnäs municipality.

He has also previously given an address in Gävle.
