Reuters news agency quoted a Pakistani medical official as saying that at least 19 people were killed in a suicide bombing that took place inside a mosque near a police headquarters in Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber province in northwestern Pakistan.

Al-Jazeera correspondent also reported that dozens of worshipers were injured in the explosion.
