The weather Tuesday: sunny and windy in the southeast, often cloudy elsewhere

The weather on Tuesday will be sunny, windy in the southeast and very cloudy in the rest of the country, according to Météo-France forecasts.

A few snowflakes may fall on the Massif Central in the morning while scattered rain will fall in some places in the Southwest.

In the afternoon and evening, a few drops and scattered rains will approach the coasts of the Channel before touching the borders of the North-East which will continue the following night.

The sun will largely dominate from Languedoc-Roussillon to PACA as well as in Corsica.

However, the mistral and the tramontane will still blow strongly in the morning, 70 to 90 km/h, weakening to 60-70 km/h in the evening.

Rising night temperatures

Nighttime temperatures will be on the rise, between 1 and 4 degrees in general, with some possible frosts at -1 or 0 degrees, mainly between Ile-de-France and the neighboring departments and the Ardennes border, as well as in Burgundy- Franche-Comté, Alsace, Massif central and Pyrenean foothills.

The mercury could drop even further in Provence.

The softening will continue on the Atlantic coast, the thermometer will show 8 to 12 degrees in the western third of the country and as far as Hauts-de-France.

The values ​​will reach 12 to 15 degrees around the Mediterranean and Corsica.

On the rest of the country, it will take 3 to 8 degrees.

Météo-France specifies that "following a strike notice by the public service unions, for Tuesday 31 and the adjoining nights, disruptions will be possible as to the development and distribution of the next bulletins."
