According to the deputy, Gomar "absolutely correctly" assesses the current foreign policy situation and the internal state of the French army.

The parliamentarian also noted that the decision of a number of Western countries, under US pressure, to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine "weakens the technical potential of NATO countries in Europe."

“And it creates conditions under which it will be very difficult to conduct any negotiations,” Chepa concluded.

Earlier, Gomar expressed the opinion that the sending of Leclerc tanks by Paris to Kyiv would be the point of no return.

In his opinion, if the French authorities sent Leclerc tanks to Ukraine, then in this way they would disarm the French army.

In addition, he added that the French army has only 220 of these tanks and they have not been produced since 2008.
