Today, Iran summoned the Ukrainian charge d'affaires in Tehran due to statements issued by his country regarding a drone attack on a military facility in the central province of Isfahan, when Russia condemned the attack and described it as a "provocative" act, while Israel and Ukraine hinted that they were behind the attack.

For his part, the former head of the Mossad and the Israeli National Security Council, Ephraim Halevy, said that the Israeli Mossad intelligence agents are able to carry out every task assigned to them, in every place.

Helvey's remarks came in response to a question by the Israeli radio station whether the Mossad carried out the attack with the marches on the arms factories in the Iranian city of Isfahan.

Halevy added that the Mossad has extraordinary capabilities and has already carried out qualitative operations in the past and present, and will continue them in the future as long as the security of Israel and its citizens requires that, he said.

Halevy's answer reinforced the news confirming that Israel is behind the recent attack on long-range missile factories in Iran.

For his part, Advisor to the Ukrainian Presidency Mikhail Podolyak said, commenting on the bombing of a military factory in Isfahan, Iran, that the war is strictly holding those involved and accomplices accountable. .

Kyiv accuses Iran of providing Russia with hundreds of drones, which it uses to attack civilian targets in Ukrainian cities far from the frontlines.

Iranian response

In an Iranian response to Podlyak's statement, Nornews, a website close to the Iranian National Security Council, said that the position of the Ukrainian president's advisor on the Isfahan attack hinted at Kyiv's partnership in the attack.

The site added that Podlyak's statement raises questions about a Ukrainian-Israeli partnership against Iranian national security, considering that Kyiv's failure to announce a clear position on this statement will have heavy repercussions, according to the site's expression.

While the Iranian semi-official Tasnim Agency stated that Iran summoned the Ukrainian charge d'affairs in Tehran today, Monday, due to statements issued by his country regarding the drone attack.

Iran stated that it intercepted the attack, and there were no deaths or serious damage.

hit

On the other hand, the Israeli newspaper, The Jerusalem Post, said that the drone attack on the Iranian defense facility in Isfahan was a huge success, according to a number of Western intelligence sources.

Experts pointed out that the United States and Israel spent a whole week conducting military exercises, about attacking targets such as Iran, so the implementation of this attack immediately after these exercises, may be a message about their seriousness.

They estimated that CIA Director William Burns' visit to Israel just before the attack was evidence of the need for a private, face-to-face meeting between the CIA and Mossad leaders.

The Axios correspondent also quoted a source, who described him as an insider, saying that the bombing that targeted a facility belonging to the Iranian Ministry of Defense was accurate and successful, explaining that four different locations in the facility were precisely targeted, and that all strikes achieved their goals.

The New York Times, in turn, notes that a few weeks ago, US officials publicly identified Iran as the main supplier of drones to Russia for use in the war on Ukraine, and said they believed Moscow was also trying to obtain Iranian missiles for use in the conflict.

However, US officials expressed their belief that this strike in Isfahan was motivated by Israel's security concerns, and not by the possibility of exporting missiles to Russia.

The Washington Post noted that Israel has carried out a series of covert strikes inside Iran over the past decade, under the direction of Benjamin Netanyahu, although it rarely makes public statements.

The newspaper quotes Elie Geran-May, senior policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, as saying that Saturday's strike indicates that Netanyahu has returned, and that the United States may give Israel more space to target Iran, due to the stalemate in the Iranian nuclear file, and the frustration of The West from Iran for supporting Russia militarily in its war on Ukraine.

The American Wall Street Journal quoted US officials as saying that the raid with marches in Iran was carried out by Israel.

The US officials added that the targeting of the military site comes at a time when Washington and Tel Aviv are discussing new ways to contain Tehran's nuclear and military ambitions, while the

Pentagon denied the involvement of any US military force in attacks or operations inside Iran.

Russian condemnation

For its part, Russia condemned today, Monday, the drone attack on a military factory in Iran and warned of what it described as "provocative" actions that could spark an escalation in an

already volatile situation.

"Such destructive actions may have unexpected consequences for peace and stability in the Middle East," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The Kremlin also condemned the attack. "One can only condemn such actions against a sovereign state," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
