Why the two men, 17 and 19 years old respectively and from western Blekinge, were in Sundsvall at the time of the police drug bust last Thursday is not yet known.

But both are now in custody suspected of preparation for murder and aggravated weapons offences.

It is clear that they both developed a criminal lifestyle during their teenage years.

In the 17-year-old's case, the social services in the home municipality have raised the alarm about the development - a total of 20 investigations have been carried out and 19 statements have been submitted to the police.

As recently as January 12 this year, the 17-year-old was sentenced to care in accordance with the Act on Care of Young People (LVU).

In recent years, he has been convicted of several drug offenses as well as illegal driving and money laundering offences.

He finds himself in gang criminal environments and becomes more and more involved in such environments.

He has been found with criminal persons in contexts where there were narcotics, knives and stolen goods.

He himself refutes the claim and believes that he does not belong to any gang.

- Some of my childhood friends are criminals and use drugs, but that does not mean that I am the same, he says in an investigation.

The 19-year-old who was arrested together with the 17-year-old during the raid has also been convicted of several crimes.

In autumn 2022 he was convicted of assault and illegal driving and in summer 2020 he drove at high speed in central Sölvesborg where he collided head-on with another car.

The 19-year-old was later convicted by Blekinge District Court for causing bodily harm, negligence in traffic, illegal driving and contamination from the scene of a traffic accident.
