The Iranian government has announced that drone strikes on the country's munitions factories have been unsuccessful, with some shot down.

According to a statement from Iran's Ministry of Defense and Munitions, three small drones attacked a munitions factory in the central province of Isfahan on the night of the 28th.

Footage allegedly taken at the scene shows a fireworks-like explosion and flashes of light.

The drone was either shot down or crashed by jamming, causing minor damage to the roof of the factory, but no casualties, the Iranian state news agency said.

Abdullahian said at a press conference that the attacks were "cowardly attacks aimed at destabilizing Iran" without mentioning the perpetrators.

In recent years, Iran has experienced a series of troubles such as explosions and fires at nuclear facilities, and the assassination of executives of the elite Revolutionary Guard Corps and a scientist who was said to be a central figure in nuclear development. All of them have claimed that hostile Israel was responsible for the crimes.

On the other hand, the Israeli military said in an interview with NHK that it "does not comment" on the attack on the munitions factory this time.

Regarding this, the Wall Street Journal, a leading American newspaper, reported on the 29th that it was Israel that attacked, citing multiple US government officials.

The building that was attacked is located in close proximity to the facilities of an organization linked to an organization involved in Iran's ballistic missile development, which is said to be subject to sanctions by the US government.

US Secretary of State Blinken, who is touring the Middle East, is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu in Israel this week and is expected to discuss blocking Iran's nuclear program, which Israel sees as its greatest threat.
