It's go again.

For the 18th time, M6 presented its viewers with farmers from all over France looking for love.

This new season of

Love is in the meadow

, which will be broadcast in several months, will be marked by the return of a former suitor but also new colorful characters.

A tattooed sexagenarian, a participant in the French pig cry championship or even cow breeders with exacerbated emotions… The first batch of portraits of farmers aged between 30 and 60, broadcast on January 30, 2022, suggests some pretty moments once the candidates will be in possession of the mail of their suitors and suitors.

If you missed the episode or need your memory refreshed,

20 Minutes

takes stock of the first seven portraits broadcast.

A “pious” and tattooed sexagenarian

Described as "pious", Christine is a breeder of dogs and cats in New Aquitaine.

Specializing in Beaucerons, this 60-year-old mother says she is "rough and stubborn", like her favorite breed of dog.

The tattoos that run through his body testify to his unconditional love for animals.

Dogs, wolves, cats are all proof of his passion.

Single for five years, Christine had three children after a first marriage at the age of 17.

She recounts a time when "you had to get married" to live your love in broad daylight.

This story will last forty years before she escapes with another man for a relationship that will not last.

Now alone, she hopes to find someone with whom to spend good moments of conviviality and tenderness.

But she warns: “Ass for ass, no!

Two growers in love

At 30, Baptiste cultivates lavender and sage to make essential oils.

He is also the head of a flock of 250 ewes that he raises for the lambs.

Residing in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, he is the father of Léontine, three and a half years old.

"He's going to have mail, that's for sure," assured Karine Le Marchand during her meeting with the 30-year-old.

Baptiste nevertheless recognized that it was his job that led to the end of his relationship with the mother of his daughter.

“I admit that I was spending too much time at work.

“He was very marked by the break and lost thirteen kilos in three weeks.

He then put his sentimental and professional life on hold to devote himself to Léontine.

He now wants to find “the feeling of being loved”.

A volunteer firefighter since he was 18, Joris, 34, is a fruit and vegetable grower on the family farm based in Occitania.

For twelve years, he has cultivated an impressive variety of fruits and vegetables such as apples, kiwis, grapes, zucchini, turnips, lamb's lettuce, spinach and several varieties of cereals.

It is in a house that he is currently renovating that he would like to welcome his suitors after twelve years of celibacy.

pig cry

By closing our eyes, we thought for a moment that

Love is in the meadow

had stopped in a pigsty when Romeo began to imitate in turn the angry pig, the happy pig then the pig in love.

No wonder since this 46-year-old hay producer has already taken part in the French pig cries championship.

Only son, his mother Claudette hopes that the show will allow him to meet a woman.

"I won't always be here so I'll be glad you find someone," she assured him, tears welling up in her eyes.

Romeo was in a relationship from the age of 22 and for nine years but has not had a lasting relationship since.

Residing in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, about 40 kilometers from Lyon, this collector car enthusiast was the victim of a car accident which forced him to give up farming and vine growing.

He spent seven months sitting in a wheelchair in the hospital.

From now on, he “no longer sees life the same way” and hopes to be able to eat it to the fullest with someone by his side.

"Wicked tongue" and "fear of failure"

Aged 56 and 42, Olivier and David breed dairy cows in Bourgogne Franche-Comté and the Massif Central.

Both find it difficult to make the first move with women.

"I'm always afraid of failure," admitted David to Karine Le Marchand.

At the head of a herd of 450 cows since 2005, he says he lives with a shell that he would like to break by living "100% great love to enjoy life together".

Single since almost always, he hopes that his 1 meter 65 will not be an obstacle for his potential suitors.

Very emotional, Olivier would like “a woman as sticky as her sheep”.

Because in addition to his milk production, he also has a herd of sheep and several hectares of cereal crops.

If he has always traveled alone without problem thanks to his "fluid tongue", he would like to discover the world as a duo.

It does not matter if his heart is equipped with a defibrillator, his few daily naps allow him to hold the shock in all circumstances.

A suitor returns eight years later

If the face of Julien, 42, is familiar to you, it's not for nothing.

After having been the suitor of Guillaume, the first gay candidate of

Love is in the meadow

, in season 9 the dairy farmer goes over to the farmers' side for this 18th season.

"I was a pretender, it didn't work, in my head I said to myself: 'Do the reverse, find the farm already,' he explained.

If he was not born in the agricultural environment and was not a farmer during his first participation, it is love that took him on the path of breeding.

“I met my ex-boyfriend, his parents were leaving [their] farm” in Bourgogne-Franche-Comt.

The couple took over the dairy farming of 87 cows before Julien's ex-boyfriend decided to part with it and cut the relationship short.

“My life project is my cows”, he justified.

“I am fully aware that this is a program that can change my life and I have to be true”, Julien was moved in front of Karine Le Marchand.

He hopes the show allows him to find someone who cares about who he really is after losing his faith in him.

“It takes three minutes to find a hookup then it takes three years to find a good guy.

And me the plan ass, that does not interest me any more.
