- The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced today, Monday, the extension of the validity of the Haya card for fans and organizers of the Qatar World Cup 2022, according to which holders of visitors are allowed to enter the State of Qatar until January 24, 2024, according to specific conditions and controls.

The "Haya" card was mandatory for all fans holding tickets to the last World Cup matches to enter the eight World Cup stadiums, and free use of public transport during the match days during the tournament, and it was an entry permit to Qatar for fans coming from outside.

In a statement today - posted on Twitter - the Ministry of Interior specified the controls for using the Haya card to enter the country, which are:

  • Proof of a confirmed hotel reservation or proof of hosting friends and family issued by the Haya platform.

  • The validity of the passport upon arrival in Qatar shall not be less than 3 months.

  • Obtaining health insurance during the stay in the country.

  • Round trip ticket.

The ministry added in its statement that the Haya card allows its holders of visitors, according to this extension, to use the “Come with me” service to apply for 3 members of his family or friends to visit the country through the application or the Haya platform, and also allows entry and exit to and from Qatar for multiple trips, as well as For the use of electronic gates at the country's ports, in addition to that it does not require the payment of any fees.

The Qatari Ministry of Interior indicated that these conditions apply to all Haya card holders in its various categories, which were in force during the Qatar World Cup 2022.
