The weather on Monday: gray and snowy in the north, sun and wind in the south

The weather on Monday will remain gray and sometimes snowy in the northern half of the country, but sunny and windy in the south, according to Météo-France.

In the morning, we will find an overcast sky north of the Loire with some precipitation.

Light snowfall will be observed in the Northeast, and some possible freezing rain very locally.

Further south, banks of fog will form in the valleys of the South-West and clouds will be numerous over the Center-East.

Small sunny spells will develop by midday.

North of the Seine, however, the sun will manage to make a few appearances in the afternoon while the sky will remain overcast from Brittany to Alsace, where light rain will fall.

Gusts reaching 80 km / h

On the shores of the Mediterranean and as far as the Alps, the weather will remain pleasant on the sky side.

On the other hand, the mistral and tramontane will continue to blow, in gusts reaching 60/80 km / h.

A westerly wind will set in over Corsica, bringing clouds throughout the day.

On the temperature side, the frosts will remain quite strong in the North-East with -1 to -6 degrees, up to -7 to -9 degrees in Auvergne.

Negative lows will be found in the South-West and South-East.

On the North-West, we expect 1 to 5 degrees.

For the maximum, the mercury will show 1 to 6 degrees from the Massif Central to Alsace Lorraine, 5 to 10 degrees elsewhere, up to 8 to 13 degrees on the shores of the Mediterranean.
