According to him, the previous defense decisions have mainly been about building up the basic capabilities of the defence.

Now it becomes more important with new types of weapons and capabilities that the Swedish defense did not have before.

It is also about artillery that can shoot significantly farther than before, drones that can act independently and an expanded cyber defense.

The proposals for new weapon systems have been submitted from the defense to the government.

They will then be processed by the defense committee before it becomes a final proposal.
