  Lingdingyang Bridge is a double-tower three-span continuous suspension bridge with a main span of 1,688 meters. A total of 213 pieces of steel box girders need to be hoisted. The hoisting order is to hoist the main span from the middle span to the east and west two main towers, and the side spans are from the transition pier Hoist towards the main tower.

The first steel box girder on the west side of the main span hoisted this time is 4 meters high, 12.8 meters long and 49.7 meters wide.

  In the afternoon of the same day, the beam transport ship carried a 284-ton steel box girder into the lower middle span of the Lingdingyang Bridge. After precise positioning, the construction workers lowered the cable crane spreader and connected it to the temporary lifting point on the steel box girder.

After the connection is completed, the cable-loaded crane is lifted upwards, and the steel box girder is steadily pulled up to the design elevation of 90 meters above the water surface. The construction personnel connect the sling and the permanent lifting point of the beam section through pin joints.

  In order to ensure the smooth erection of the first piece of steel box girder in the bidding section, the project technical research team formulated a special hoisting plan, manufactured models through 3D printing technology, repeatedly deduced the construction process, continuously improved the construction organization plan, and checked safety risks.

  At the same time, the project team optimized the cable-mounted crane based on the actual situation, and made full use of advanced technology to create a "smart cable crane". The precision and efficiency in the steel beam hoisting process ensure the safety of the hoisting process."   According to reports, the construction of the first steel box girder on the east side of the main span of the Lingdingyang Bridge on the Shenzhong Channel was completed on January 12, and the bridge is expected to be closed by the end of April this year.
