A serious accident occurred early Sunday morning on the A10 motorway, near the town of Saint-Jean d'Angély, in Charente-Maritime.
A truck carrying about 60 cattle overturned in a ditch.
An accident that caused a very serious injury, in absolute emergency when help arrived.
The highway had to be cut initially in both directions of traffic for the intervention of firefighters and doctors, but also so that a helicopter could land in order to be able to evacuate it to the hospital center of Poitiers.

At the end of the morning, temporary traffic cuts on the A10 were still in progress at Saint-Jean d'Angely in order to be able to evacuate the cargo.
The highway manager urged motorists to avoid the area.
