North Korea denied rumors of an arms deal with Russia and harshly criticized the United States for its decision to provide tanks to Ukraine.

Kwon Jeong-geun, head of the US Department of the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement published by the Chosun Central News Agency that the United States should "keep in mind that if it continues to spread false rumors against North Korea, it will face really boring consequences."

Director Kwon argued that the US "foolishly attempted to justify arms supply to Ukraine", again bringing up groundless rumors of North Korea-Russia arms trade.

Director Kwon went on to say, "It is an illegal and outrageous act to question the legitimate right of a sovereign state to defend itself, but trying to disparage North Korea's image by making up things that don't even exist is "even more unacceptable, and it is an act that must be responded to. It was a serious provocation.”

Regarding the U.S. decision to support tanks in Ukraine, Kwon said, "It is absurd and absurd as an extension of the illogical, deformed, and robbery American-style thinking that frequently introduces nuclear strike means into the Korean Peninsula under the sign of providing extended deterrence in preparation for anyone's provocation." sophistry," he claimed.

Director Kwon also argued, "The US' action to push offensive weapons such as main battle tanks into Ukraine, ignoring the legitimate concerns and criticisms of the international community, is an anti-humanitarian crime to continue the unstable international situation."
