.

He had been under an international arrest warrant for several months for acts of "intentional homicides and attempted intentional homicides in an organized gang".

Nicknamed "Son", he was transferred to a prison in Bogota before his extradition to France where an investigating judge would like to question him about his involvement in ongoing investigations.

He is the main suspect in a case of attempted murder of police officers from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) on October 25, 2021 while they were intervening on a deal point in the Duchère district of Lyon.

Three police officers were the target of a burst of fire and the one who is considered the "boss" of the place would be involved.

According to initial investigations, these events occurred after tensions between "the boss" and part of his teams.

According to information from the JDD, the investigators also suspect "Son" of having gone to Spain to "take part in certain settling of accounts".

Several settling of accounts

Investigators believe that "Son" is at the origin of several settling of scores that followed, still in this district of La Duchère: a man shot in the leg in November 2021, a car riddled with bullets in February 2022, teenagers targeted and hit a month later and then a shooting in June that left two dead.

Seven men, suspected of having remained loyal to the gang leader, were arrested in October in this latest story.

Since then, the atmosphere at the Duchere has become calmer again.
