Kyiv announces repelling an attack near a village in Donetsk

On Sunday, the Ukrainian army announced that it had repelled an attack near the village of Blahodatny, located in the Donetsk region (eastern Ukraine), while the Wagner Special Group confirmed that it had taken control of it.

The Ukrainian General Staff said in its daily statement that Kyiv forces "repelled attacks near... Blahodatny" and thirteen other locations in the Donetsk region.

However, the Wagner Group announced shortly after that its units had taken control of this village.

The group's head, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said, according to his media office, that "Wagner's special military units have captured Blahudatne, which is now under our control."

The Russian Ministry of Defense has not confirmed this at this stage.
