In the early hours of the 30th, a ship of the China Coast Guard intruded into Japanese territorial waters off the coast of the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture to match the movements of Japanese fishing boats.


The Japan Coast Guard has deployed patrol boats to ensure the safety of fishing boats, and continues to warn Coast Guard ships to leave the territorial waters immediately.

According to the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, at around 2:50 am on the 30th, one of the four China Coast Guard ships sailing in the contiguous zone just outside Japan's territorial waters was located south of the Senkaku Islands. It intruded into territorial waters to match the movement of Japanese fishing boats off the coast of a small island.



As of 3:00 a.m., the Japan Coast Guard ship was sailing in waters about 2 kilometers away from the Japanese fishing boats, which were sailing about 18 kilometers off the south-southeast of Minamikojima Island in territorial waters. It means that



The Japan Coast Guard has deployed patrol boats around the area to ensure the safety of fishing boats, and continues to warn coast guard ships to leave the territorial waters immediately.



This is the second time since the 10th of this month that a Chinese Coast Guard ship has been confirmed to intrude into Japan's territorial waters off the Senkaku Islands.
