- He is doing well now.

He is alert and it feels like he is back to himself again, says his mother, Anne Carlborg.

It was worse after the walk a few days ago, which resulted in an urgent visit to the vet in Stockholm.

Bailey remained there for a day.

He had taken a whiff of cannabis during the walk, which P4 Uppland was the first to tell about.

- I've heard before that dogs think it's good to have cannabis in particular.

It's hard to counter, so to speak.

It feels very sad that it is in our neighborhood where we take our dog walks, says Anne Carlborg.

One case a month

Veterinarian Kristoffer Dreimanis at the university animal hospital at Ultuna in Uppsala says that on average they have one case a month of pets being poisoned by drugs, and that it happens even more often in the Stockholm area.

In the vast majority of cases, the animals are doing well.

- As a rule, the prognosis is good for these patients, but they may need to be registered for a few days and perhaps have a stomach pump.

If you suspect that your animal has been poisoned, you should seek a veterinarian, he believes.

- If the animal has started to get symptoms, they can get worse and worse.

In the video you hear Anne Carlborg tell how they noticed something was wrong with Bailey.
