Two fires occurred during the night to Saturday in Malmö.
A leisure farm and a car were set on fire during the night and the police now suspect that it may have a connection with the fires that occurred during the night of Friday.
- It is likely that the fires may be connected.
It was eight yesterday and so far tonight we have two, says Andreas Hulting, officer on duty at police region South.
Yesterday's fires were smaller with several car fires, a fire in a storage room for the Malmö Canoe Club in Slottsparken and a fire in a bakery in Sofielund's industrial area.
- Tonight we have a leisure park that is on fire.
Fortunately, no one was injured, says Andreas Hulting.
There are no suspects in the fires yet.
- We have no leads or suspects yet, but we are looking at some old suspects because there are a number of people who we know can do this kind of thing.
Then of course it could be a new perpetrator, says Andreas Hulting.
The eight fires during yesterday took place in the same area and the two fires of the night are also close to each other, but in a different part of Malmö.
- We are trying to check if we can find any cameras that have filmed, but so far we have not found anything, says Andreas Hulting.
