According to RIA Novosti, Nikolenko said that Orban, during a conversation with reporters, compared Ukraine with Afghanistan, calling it "no man's land."

“Another dismissive statement by Viktor Orban against Ukraine... The Hungarian ambassador will be summoned to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry for a frank conversation,” Nikolenko said.

He added that Hungary continues its course of "deliberate destruction" of Hungarian-Ukrainian relations.

Earlier, Orban did not rule out that peace talks on Ukraine could take months or years.

On December 27, it became known that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry was dissatisfied with the words of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban that peace in Ukraine would come when the United States wanted it.

Kyiv, in response to this statement, accused the head of the Hungarian government of political myopia.
