Since the beginning of this year, Qinghai Lake has continued to promote the standardization of national-level terrestrial wildlife epidemic disease monitoring, established the Qinghai Lake Plateau Lake Wetland Ecological Environment Scientific Observation Field Station of the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, built Qinghai Lake video surveillance points and Bird Island Data Center, Qinghai The lake and air-based unattended wetland bird monitoring system and wetland supervision big data platform have set up 300 ecological monitoring ground positioning monitoring stations in the watershed, and comprehensively built a scientific research, monitoring and evaluation platform covering the entire watershed.

The number of indicative species (waterbirds) in Qinghai Lake wetlands increased from 92 in 2017 to 98, and the number of inhabiting waterbirds increased from more than 336,000 in 2017 to 571,000.
The resource reserves of naked carp in Qinghai Lake reached 108,500 tons, and the number of Przewalski's gazelle reached 2,969.
