According to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, by decision of the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow, Oleg Baranov, an on-site check was carried out on the information that was voiced in the media about interruptions in the provision of the state service for the exchange of driver's licenses for citizens who arrived from new regions, in the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Traffic Police of the TNRER No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow, located on Lobnenskaya Street.

It is noted that the service for the exchange of driver's licenses for citizens who arrived from new regions has been carried out since December 14, 2022 in pursuance of a government decree.

“During the audit, it was established that for the period from December 14, 2022 to January 26, 2023, public services were provided to 1,139 applicants.

At the same time, the number of those who applied for public services in December was from 30 to 40 people per day, in January - from 60 to 80 people per day.

All of them received new driver's licenses on the day they applied, there were no facts of postponing the provision of public services to subsequent days, ”Volk said.

She also informed that on January 26 at 7:30 (30 minutes before the start of the reception of citizens) the “live” queue for receiving the service was about 50 people.

It is noted that in total during the working day, 74 people received new driver's licenses, including 12 residents of Moscow, 16 residents of the Moscow region, as well as 46 arrivals from other regions of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, the vast majority of applications were considered in the first half of the day - at 15:30, single visitors remained in the unit's premises, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

The ministry added that due to the high demand for this public service, the leadership of the Moscow Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs decided to open from January 30 the receipt of applications from citizens who arrived from new constituent entities of the Russian Federation in four more departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Moscow.
